ANGIE VILLA

Angie Villa is a St. Louis-based arts administrator. She currently works as the Museum Manager at 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis, sharing curated exhibitions of contemporary art with the visitors and guests of 21c. Working within this uniquely accessible museum and hospitality space allows Villa to engage with artists, artworks, and the public - a combination that has been central to her career. Previously, Villa worked at Via Partnership guiding artist calls, public workshops, and temporary exhibition programs for St. Louis-based and national clients. During her tenure as Gallery Director at Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design, Villa specialized in selecting and building collections from a range of artists working in a variety of mediums, balancing the artist’s creative process with the desires of the public. Once an aspiring painter, Villa shifted her creativity into weaving and gardening for their meditative and hands-on qualities.

Villa studied Arts Management and Leadership at Webster University and received a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Saint Louis University. She serves on the board of Midwest Artist Project Services (MAPS) and is a St. Louis Master Gardener.
